Executive Committee
Membership meetings serve as the supreme authority of Media Guild of the West. Between membership meetings, the Executive Committee is the Local’s governing body and administers its affairs. Each bargaining unit that begins paying dues gains an automatic officer seat, known as the unit representative.

Local Staff
Nadia Taha, executive director
Nadia joined MGW from the NewsGuild of New York, where she worked as a West Coast staff representative. She is based in Los Angeles.
Nora Alexander, staff representative/contract campaign lead
Nora serves as MGW’s Texas-based staff representative. She previously worked for the American Federation of Teachers in Michigan and was a member of the Detroit Newspaper Guild.
Kristina Bui, campaign lead
Kristina, a former copy editor, was a member of the L.A. Times Guild’s organizing committee and the bargaining committee. She now works as a Los Angeles-based organizer for the local.
Carrie Flenaugh, staff representative/contract campaign lead
Carrie leverages experience from Alaska Public Employees Association/American Federation of Teachers and Texas Northside American Federation of Teachers. Based in San Antonio, she champions workers' rights with dedication.
Graham Fortier, staff representative/contract campaign lead
Graham came to MGW from the AFL-CIO, where he was a senior organizer and a member of the Washington-Baltimore News Guild. He is based in Los Angeles.
Andy Nguyen, member administration coordinator
Andy is a former Media Guild of the West officer and Times Community News reporter based in Los Angeles.
